Dumitri Mironescu is the owner of a limousine company in Las Vegas which currently consists of 17 vehicles. During the year of 2012, Dumitru decided that it was time to replace three of the company’s 17 vehicles. In addition, Dumitru wanted to add two new vehicles to his fleet of limousines. Dumitru submitted a business plan to the bank to finance his purchases. After reviewing his business plan, the bank was not comfortable with the company’s revenue forecast and needed further convincing. Dumutri got help from his son to prepare a forecast for visitors to Las Vegas in 2013. Revenue for the limousine service is driven by the amount of visitors to the area. Therefore, in order to forecast the company’s revenue, Denis will have to prepare a forecast for visitors to Las Vegas using different forecasting methods. The best forecast method will be chosen and will help determine the growth of revenue; and ultimately decide whether Dumitru should replace three vehicles as well as add two additional vehicles to his fleet.…
A boardwalk signifies relaxation and entertainment. What better place to build a fabulous boardwalk entertainment village than in the tourist capital of America beautiful Las Vegas, NV, to be more specific, Lake Las Vegas. This is a lush lakeside retreat located only 15 minutes east of the famous “Las Vegas Strip.” It is surrounded by natural red rocks and borders the Lake Mead Recreational Park. Several other hotels have already graced this manmade lake along with two award winning golf courses, and gourmet restaurants and exquisite shopping. Currently, there are two lakeside parcels remaining with great frontage and access to the shops and golf as well as many aquatic activities including sailing, fishing, canoeing, and small boating. Development of the structure would be made through a partnership with Lake Las Vegas LTD, the chief land owner within this region. We feel that with a strategic partnership with the land owner, in the form of a land lease, our overall build-out costs would be drastically reduced and would yield pleasant tax incentives for this form of business structuring.…

The tolerance of drugs, prostitution, gambling, 24-hour liquor sales, gang violence, and the emphasis on the nightlife give Las Vegas its nickname, Sin City. Also known as The Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas is a world-wide attraction for people from all walks of life. Whether visitors are seeking relaxation in one of Las Vegas’s five-star hotel casinos along with entertainment, gambling, shopping, and fine dining; employment or a new home in the nation’s fastest growing community, or the permissible use of money for sex-related services; Las Vegas thrives off of their tourism industry. Sometimes referred to as Hawaii’s ninth island, Las Vegas is a popular vacation spot for residents of Hawaii. Seeing as how Hawaii, along with Utah, is one of the only two states in the country where gambling is illegal, Hawaii residents visit Las Vegas to delight in part in guilty pleasure. Every week, as many as 3,000 people from Hawaii visit Las Vegas, and a growing amount of former Hawaii residents have made Sin City their new home (www.visitlasvegas.com).…
In the years leading up to the Presidential election of 1960, America was embroiled in tension both at home and overseas. The relationship between the United States and Russia was growing more and more strained with every passing day and the civil rights movement left the American people divided. John F. President Kennedy's inaugural speech would serve as the first glimpse at the incredible effect that he would have on the nation. In his inaugural address, President John F. Kennedy effectively wields the elements of…

I went on a trip to Las Vegas for Christmas one year and it was a trip that I would never forget. When we arrived in Las Vegas we stayed in the Luxor Hotel. The Luxor in Las Vegas is a good place to go because of the luxury of the hotel, the exquisite food, and magnificent entertainment. I enjoyed staying in the famous Luxor hotel and Casino. I loved staying in the beautiful four star hotel, it was fun, and I hope to go back someday.…
The little exhausted 6 year old girl, running through crowds of people and in circles looking for her mom or just familiar faces. From riding the Mine Digger roller coaster, slipping away from my cousin for a quick snack, eventuality became separate from the group, then found by Daffy Duck and rescue by my cousin. I knew this was going to be my last trip to Six Flags. Before leaving Texas, my mom had request a trip to California to visit my great aunts and SeaWorld next…
Not in the aspect people living there, but the place that gets the most attention from tourists and people in general. I can not necessarily remember the place we went , but it was beautiful. It looked just like Venice on the inside or at least what I thought it would have been like. I had never seen something with so much attention to detail of this magnitude. The place was virtually a shopping mall as well, but it didn't seem like a mall. It was like you were in a small town with different stores around. I was just amazed at something for probably the first time in my life. It was such a huge place purely for the cause of entertainment and business. It didn't have to be anywhere near as monumental and detailed to bring people. Just being in las Vegas on the strip and having the stores it had would draw people in. It was just how much it meant to them, and their pride in Las Vegas. They spared no expenses in their…
The clock above my head ticks slowly, the sound ever increasing as the minutes pass by; tick, tick, tick. I normally do not notice the time while I work, usually I am the energizer bunny of workers, in early, out late, always working or willing to, but that day was different; I had a date; a first date to be exact. Finally the time has come for me to go home; I step out into the warm Vegas air, I can smell the familiar scents of fall slowly encroaching on the city. September in Vegas is typically warm, with the average daily temperatures in the upper nineties. I lite a cigarette and walk through the parking garage to my car. My mind was racing; what will he be like, will he be funny, boring; I even allow my thoughts to drift to what he would look like naked.…
My first trip to Las Vegas was the worst plane trip every, I had experienced all types of emotions from Norfolk to Dallas. In Norfolk my flight was delayed due to the weather, then another two hour delay in Dallas. All I wanted was to get to Vegas. On my flight I sat beside a man who never been on a plane. This guy behavior was the worst. I tried to convince him to read, listen to music or drink. I even tried to start a conversation to calm him down. My friends were laughing they knew my patience was running out. I was thinking to myself knocking him out. We enter into a storm the thunder and lightning was bad the sounds silence the whole flight. The Pilot came on and informed us we are in Dallas unable to land due to the weather. Looking out…
The summer of 2016, I organized a venturesome trip for my dad and I to share in the Florida Keys during the weekend of our birthdays. Our trip was scheduled for the end of July, which happened to be the hottest and the most chaotic time to go because of lobster season. As a Floridian, I have traveled to many destinations throughout Florida; but never before have I gone as far south as the keys. Recalling the first time I visited the Florida Keys is one of my fondest memories.…
The mechanical chairs were going up, 100ft in the air we were ready for our stomachs to drop to our feet, adrenaline pumping. Then all of the sudden we were in a situation; death or survival? On one normal day of school my friends and I (Bri, Keishon, Chaniece, and Datasia) were sitting at the lunch table eating our food. Then Bri brought up the idea that we should all take a road trip to Six Flags. Keishon agreed, “sounds like a good idea to me.” Everybody else then agreed with Bri that it was a good idea. After school we all decided to meet at Bri’s house after we had packed our stuff. We decided that we were going to get a hotel there and go out to eat after leaving Six Flags. From the other room Datasia yelled, “Are you guys ready?” We…
When I started to look for colleges during high school, I took an unconventional approach towards finding the university that I wanted to attend. My first visit to New Orleans was by accident after my parents canceled our summer trip to Santa Fe because they did not think the food there was good enough. They asked if New Orleans was a better alternative and I jumped at the idea of being in a city that supposedly is rich in ghost . After my first trip, I fell in love with the people, atmosphere, and most importantly the city. The next three years, my family and I came to New Orleans any chance we had, during spring break, winter vacation, and the summer. New Orleans became a place where my imagination was replenished after spending my whole life in Houston. The way I connected to New Orleans was through the distinct architecture and historical presence that I felt through my everyday experiences in the city.…
