For example, human nature and God are like two pieces of the puzzle that cannot be connected (two world views that conflict) together. In school, we learn that humans are made up of chromosomes (x and y) and that we evolved from apes into man. In church, however, we are taught that God created mankind in his own image, but one must also take all points into account in order to get a clearer image. Taking Biology in high school, learning scientifically that humans evolve from apes goes against my own beliefs of religion and God. I see the points from different views, but I have been taught through Church we are God’s image. My experiences with human nature don’t go very far, except that I understand both of these world view points. In the past I have easily convinced myself to believe we did arise in the evolution of apes therefore questioning God’s existence. My own personal worldview is defined within the love of God and the religion I was raised in having faith in all choices that relate to the state of what I believe is morally right. What I mean is, my decisions in life are based on a natural human nature instinct or simply my faith in God that he has laid out a path for me to follow. I ask myself from time to time whether my destiny is already set or as life goes on I am not sure if I am creating my own destiny as I continue to move forward. There’s no question to who I believe in. My faith is entrusted in God and my life decisions and educational path are based on the fact that I am God’s image and through him, I as a person do the labor that needs to succeed.
