I have analysis writings, narrative writings, and argument writings. Some of my argument writings includes my review paper on Chipotle, an OpEd article on school discipline and corporal punishment, and the most meaningful phrase in the poem “Identity” by Julio Noboa Polanco. In my opinion my writings were well organized and I had a good argument but, my reasonings weren’t as strong as they could have been. Some of my narrative writings includes my personal narrative of when I volunteered for the first time, a fictional narrative, and a perspective narrative. My fictional narrative called “Fire in Apartment 5B” is my favorite narrative I wrote. When I read it after I wrote it I was so proud of myself and couldn’t believe that I came up with that story. It was really fun to write it and it made me want to write more and see how well I could actually write. The narrative was effective because it started of as any other regular day but, as the story went on the normal day changed into a terrifying day. Some of my analysis writings includes a complex process paper on how to take care of dogs, an analysis of stylistic techniques, and a historical literature analysis on The K.K.K. My analysis of stylistic techniques was on how Paul Zindel, the author of “The Pigman,” and Edgar Allan Poe, the author of “The Tell-Tale Heart,” both used figurative language to develop the characters and setting.
