My Writing Teacher Teach Me In Class Analysis
1. How my writing teacher teaches me in class?
Back then when I was in my school, my writing teacher way of teaching me is very conventional. Every day, in class, whenever we are doing our writing class, the teacher will simply gives us a topic to write on. Before we start on writing, the students will be given chance to brainstorm on the idea, then, show it to teacher, if the teacher did not like the idea, we will have to change it and we will have to show it again to the teacher until she find it rational. After that, we will given some time finish the writing before sending it to the teacher. The teacher then will check the essay and give it back to us to be compared and discussed.
2. What do I feel about my writing class?

From above Cross tabulation of two aspects of our survey, time spend by students on Social networking sites and time spent by students talking face to face with family and friends shows that maximum number students who surveyed spend time more on social networking sites and chatting with friends rather talking with family face to face. Cross Tabulation shows that maximum people spend time ranging from 10 mins to 6 hours on SNS. People spent time with talking with family face to face is 0 to 10 mins. These relationship shows negative co-relation between time spent with friends on SNS and time spent talking with friends face to face. But we can’t say that the negative relation is only because of the more time spent on SNS. We survey students of Institute of Management, Nirma University who are studying in hostel and staying away from home. So they get less time to talk to family members and only on phone they can talk to family which reduces the time. It is possible that in normal life when they are at home, result may be…

Writing class in my life has always been centered on analyzing mediums such as books, articles, movies, poems, and other things of that nature. The analysis would always consist of considering both viewpoints of an argument: what the author is saying and what the author is contrasting his or her viewpoints with. In addition to this, I have always been expected to incorporate my own thoughts on the subject of analysis. I feel as if I am a very good formal writer on serious subjects, and a not-so-great writer when it comes to talking about my own opinions and thoughts on an open topic. The best writing that I have ever done and was very proud of was the final paper for my Music Education philosophy course last semester. For this assignment we were expected to research a certain pedagogy, write about it, and synthesize our own pedagogy from what we had learned about that semester about all of the different pedagogies. Over the years from my first actual writing course in 9th grade, writing to me has developed from something I did to please the teacher into…

My high school my writing process was very alike to the process my classmates would practice. I would get my ideas from my life experience or classmates. A tool that really help me organized my thoughts was the web organizer with all the ideas I would brainstorm. I would let out my thoughts and would try to organize them the best way possible following the outline that I was going to utilize. I would ask my teachers and sisters, who have much more experience to proofread my rough draft. A problem I saw in my writing was my usage of words and my punctuation. As following the writing process it extended the essay a week more but it was well done. Problems that I would approach with, was organizing my writing in a form to make it clear. My strengths were the ideas and the details I would use in my writing.…

When writing an essay there are steps you should take to build towards that essay. First you brainstorm to get yourself going and get an idea of what you’d like to write. Then, you create an outline that breaks down your essay (choosing angle, intro, thesis, body paragraphs, and conclusion). Using that outline you make longer sentences and create your first draft. After receiving a grade for that first draft, using the comments the professor wrote about your essay, you should revise or rewrite that essay to create your second draft. You then repeat that process and do some minor editing and that would be your final draft. I never used to brainstorm or write an outline, then write my first draft. I would write whatever possibly came to mind and hand it in as my “first” or “rough” draft. I realized, with the help of my professor, that it was in my best interest to use this writing process to organize any information that I’d be using to write my essay.…

Personally, I believe that I need guidance in the basics of writing: organizing, grammar, editing, etc. In high school, I met a variety of English teachers. My ninth grade English teacher was mostly a supervisor because she would first hand out magazines then make us summarize what we read. I can understand why she was not interested in attempting to teach the class, one reason was because she was getting ready to retire that semester. The second reason why she had no interest was due to the classroom environment which was chaos. My tenth grade English class was pathetic. The instructor was a man who only sat in his chair and used Facebook everyday to chat with his at-home “child”, who then I found that his “child” was an eighteen year old girl who obsessed over vampires. This instructor also accepted cultural foods as bribery to raise your grade. This was pathetic because all you had to do was attend to pass the class! Now these people with degrees probably once felt a passion for teaching and expected to teach excelling students and this was not the case for either of my past…

When I started this class, I believe I had strong writing skills, and now I believe these skills have strengthened, making me a more conscious writer. Before this class, I have not focused on aspects such as sentence length and specific words that I am using. Instead, I simply wrote and worked on proper grammar. My essay writing skills have definitely improved throughout this class simply due to the fact that I spend more time writing my essays. Now that I have mastered more skills, I can utilize them in every essay from here on out. While I know that I still have room to improve, I am pleased by my progress and I feel more confident about my writing. I have always enjoyed writing essays, but this class has helped me more fully understand the complexities of writing an essay. Previously, most essays I have written have been standard for English classes, and…

The beginning of course English 101 was challenging and stressful, this class introduced me to many different types of paper topics that I never knew existed. There are so many things that come to play when it comes to writing, from grammar to punctuation mechanics, etc. Before this class I was not aware of any writing process and all of the different types of essays and so I felt overwhelmed every time I had to write about a new topic. I struggled with gathering my thought and placing them on paper.…

My writing history is all over the place. I took Honors English my eleventh grade year, and loved it but took AP English my senior year and hated it. Mr. Palmer, who taught honors, was my favorite English teacher. He let us write about whatever came to mind on Fridays, whether we were ranting about classes or just had a fun story to tell. My favorite part about him is that he actually taught me how to write. My AP teacher did not improve our writing but only critiqued it. In my opinion, you can always learn how to write better. Even with being in AP I wish she fixed my writing more than just giving me a grade. More than half our students failed the English exam and the national average was a 2 on a scale of 5. So, within the past year writing…

My writing has many flaws I have known that since I started writing. But out of all the problems that I have always had, the one that bothers me the most is that I know I am not producing the best work I can possibly get out. I have always been confident in my thoughts and ideas, but every time I starting writing them down they never seem to be able to go the way I want them to go.…

General this class taught me to be a superior essayist. As I had said it had took into account me to show persuading contentions. In my English 101 class I never had really attempt to persuade a man that something was correct and something else wasn't right. I needed to principally clarify things and why they were the way that they were. In this class, I had learnt that I needed to ensure that kind coordinated up to make my paper believable and the impacts of what could happen on the off chance that it didn't, care for with. I feel extremely certain that not just that I can compose and ensure sorts coordinate up, yet that I would have the capacity to spot when they didn't coordinate up. At the point when a man is doing a sort investigation…

Personally, I am amazed at how Stephen King began his autobiography with a short story from when he was small. “Unknown to me, wasps had constructed a small nest in the lower half of the cinderblock. One of them, perhaps pissed off at being relocated, flew out and stung me on the ear. The pain was brilliant, like a poisonous inspiration” (King 19). This opening story really tells the readers that Stephen King is euphemistic. For being stung by the ear at a young age, he makes it sound as if it has a positive outcome. There are many other references throughout the book referring to euphemism. King talks very freely about his life to the audience through this book as if he has no regrets.…

Before taking English 101A, I was not confident in my writing ability. I never was able to wrap my head around what I was supposed to do and often wrote off topic. I would spend too much time looking at the screen thinking of what to write. My essays often turned out to be a summary; this was reoccurring. I feel that this class strongly helped me develop some standard and basic skills for writing an essay. The amount of time we spent breaking down each of the three essays was very helpful for me. It helped me really realize that I need to get into deeper thought to correctly analyze the text and put it on paper. I have obtained the knowledge from learning in the classroom that acquiring the ability to thoroughly analyze, make points for my body paragraphs, create a thesis, etc., is much simpler than I made it for myself prior. I now realize that I overthought too much while writing essays. I used to try to perfect every sentence as I wrote or typed. I found myself using so much time doing this. I found that just writing my ideas and thoughts down first, while ignoring diction, punctuation, and the flow of the sentences, and revising after made for a much more efficient and successful process. My experience in this class has really opened my eyes to realize that essay writing is a much simpler process than I thought it to be.…
