This paper explains about the well know personality profiling method, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator assessment, its accuracy in determining the personality type and how it can affect an individual’s work and relationships.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessment
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Assessment is a psychometric test designed to measure natural psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions ("Myers-Briggs Type Indicator", n.d.). It is based on the theory that people have innate behavioral tendencies and preferences. It uses four dichotomies to identify preferences, which are then combined into one Personality Type.

Extraversion (E) – Introversion (I)
An Extravert mainly directs energy toward the outer world of people and things, and appears to get motivated by interacting with other people, whereas, an Introvert tends to direct energy towards the inner world of experiences and ideas.
Sensing (S) – Intuition (N)
This function describes the way in which people perceive the world around them. The people with Sensing attribute tend to perceive things with five senses and the people with Intuition attribute tend to perceive things with the sixth sense.
Thinking (T) – Feeling (F)
Thinkers are objective and use logical analysis and reasoning for decision making, whereas, Feelers focus on personal and social values.
Judging (J) – Perceiving (P)
People with Judging attribute likes an organized lifestyle whereas, people with Perceiving attribute are more flexible and spontaneous.
