NBA All-Star Game Analysis
It’s official! The NBA All-Star game will be returning to Los Angeles in 2018! Commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement that All-Star weekend will take place at Staples Center in Los Angeles for the 3rd time (Hosted previously in 2004 and 2011). The weekend in L.A. will kick off February 16th with the Rising Stars Challenge then the infamous Saturday Night Festivities on the 17th, and concludes with the 67th All Star Game on the 18th (For those looking for dates). The Lakers and Clippers will once again serve as a joint host for the 2018 weekend due to them sharing the arena. The last All-Star weekend to car far west or close was Houston in 2013.

is a great Basketball city as well as the entertainment capital of the world and NBA All-Star weekend perfectly complements just that, Basketball and entertainment. As mentioned in an article on USA Today, AEG and the NBA were in the works on bringing the game back to Staples Center back in early February but we were all waiting on the official announcement. A key thing that was also mentioned by Adam Silver was the weather at the last two All-Star games. The winter conditions in New York and Toronto made it difficult for players to take part in some festivities. A warmer climate will defiantly very ideal for players, fans, everyone. The last two All-Star weekends in Los Angeles have been absolutely a success and received a lot of positive feedback, so why not bring it back? For the fans is a great atmosphere and for the players it’s a great place and time to promote their brand. Los Angeles is a great stage to show case the league’s best players and NBA surly won’t be disappointed at all with their choice to bring the All-Star game back to Staples Center.
