I strongly believe I do not fit the mold of what it means to be narcissistic. According to Dr. Steve Bressert, “symptoms of narcissistic disorder include: grandiose sense of importance, preoccupation with unlimited success, believe that one is special and unique, exploitative of others, lacks empathy, is arrogant, and is jealous of others.” Out of the seven symptoms I can only say I exhibit arrogance, and it is occasional and specific to certain factors. I would think that a person who is diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder would need to exhibit several of the listed symptoms and display them on a more consistent basis.
