Everyone has their problems, some maybe silly as others are difficult in many ways. Khadijah went through something that kids normally don't go through it never get to experience in first hand view. She went through poverty and homelessness.
Khadijah never had the opportunity to ride a hoverboard or have a Iphone at an early age, like kids do now and day, and she never had Nikes or Jordans or Converse. She grew up in skid row with her mother and her little sister, she had other things to stress and worry about like food to eat or a safe place to sleep. I think growing up for her was hard because she wasn't blessed with a home to sleep in and a comfy bed to lay in. She didn't have 300 pairs of clothes for every day of the week and not a shower to bask in. Every year she moved to different homeless shelters, meaning, she went to different school about twice every year. Kadijah missed 6th, 7th grade was split between different cities. 8th only consisted of 2 weeks in San Bernardino. With the benefit of being placed 99th percentile on a state exam, her teacher placed her in the gifted, special, category. At an early age, she vowed to keep it that way. …show more content…
