Narrative Essay On World Series
“YES!” I screamed. “Thank you so much dad, I can’t believe you got tickets to a World Series game!” “That’s not all,” replied my dad. “It’s something even better than tickets.” What could be better than tickets to a World Series game, I thought?
“CROWN tickets!” my dad said excitedly. “You, me, your mom, and your brother!” I literally almost fainted on the spot. It was so unexpected. Especially since our hometown team the Royals were playing the San Francisco Giants in the World Series. And the Royals haven’t won it since 1985, the longest streak of not winning the World Series ever! I could witness history!
“What game are we going to?” I asked my dad. “Game 7, so it isn’t for certain we will get to go.” A huge feeling of dread washed over

We walked through a special entrance to get in, and man it was a sight! There were so many different foods, deserts, and drinks with a huge bar and tons of TV’s.
“How much of this can we eat?” my brother asked.
“As much as you want,” my dad replied. “It’s all free! You can come down here anytime you want during the game and get anything you want.”
“Wow!” I said. It’s all I could say, I had never seen something like this before.
We all sat down at a table and ordered our food. I ordered scallops and crab legs, my favorite food. My brother got a cheeseburger and fries. And my Mom and Dad split a pasta dish. My brother and I finished our drinks early, so we went up to go watch batting practice. It turns out our seats are right next to the Royals dugout. So every time a player went out to hit, they would sign are hats or give us high fives.
“This is so awesome!” I said, as my parents were coming out.
“Do you think you could get a ball?” my brother asked.
“Probably not. I doubt they give any out unless they win the game,” I replied.
“Your right, but it would still my pretty cool if they did,” my brother

“ What a beautiful day for some Dodger baseball,” Commented Vin Scully, with this legendary saying you knew that it was indeed a good day for baseball. The Commissioner of Baseball was driving down the highway on his royal blue Ferrari, casually listening to any baseball game that was on the radio. Normally a Cubs, Braves, or dodgers game is broadcasted. Thankfully the commissioner got in his car right as the first pitch was thrown. Knowing the Hall of Fame induction was tomorrow, The commissioner went out to buy an expensive and the nicest suit he could possibly find. Four hours later, Rob Manfred returned to his mansion in his white Ferrari f12. To his right was a Lamborghini Aventador and Lamborghini Huracan, to his left was a Ferrari…

Winning a World Series is the most coveted prize for any team in major league baseball. The “Fall Classic” of 1919 represented the power of greed. This series displayed a form of greed that may never be reached again in any professional sport. Most athletes possess the admirable greed of winning and succeeding. In 1919, six players of the Chicago White Sox showed a form of greed that rarely occurs in such a respectable game. What most professional baseball players never get to experience was traded for cash incentives. Through all the persuasion and temptation for something of monetary value that some would consider worth more than a world championship, two men exhibited that true love for the game of baseball and loyalty to one’s team can help overcome such temptations. This series not only represented the utter greed of 6 players, but the loyalty, strength, pride, and respect for the game of baseball that can counteract such a heinous form of greed.…

For well over a century, baseball has been hailed as America’s National Past Time. Baseball is uniquely American. In the 1989 baseball film, Field of Dreams, one of the main characters remarks on the importance of baseball for America. “Baseball,” he says, is “the one constant through all the years.” Baseball connects Americans to their past. “This field, this game,” he continues, “reminds us of all that once was good and that could be again.” This week, the tradition of Opening Day ushered in the 2015 baseball season—the 146th season of professional baseball in America.…

They were both stacked and crazy good. We weren't even supposed to be there as we where the number 5 seed . We beat the number 2 seed to go to the championship. Somehow the number 4 team beat the number 1 team and now we had to play them. Out of the 16 teams it came down to the number 4 and 5 to play in the championship game. There was never a bigger crowd than had ever been at any of our other games. There must have been 80 people and my whole family was there. We batted first with Karson there as the lead off hitter and gets a single. Mason goes up there and gets a single and escapes a double play. Few, they were both safe. Sam goes up there and strikes out. Then it was my turn. I bat in the 4th position so I am expected to always get a hit. I went up there and on the first strike they threw me I hit it 20 feet out of the ballpark. Everybody was cheering. I just hit a home run in a championship game! I ran around tapping every base base along the way. When I got to home plate the whole team was standing there waiting for me. As I touched home base my friends all started tapping on my helmet to celebrate. It was so much fun. As I headed back in the dugout to start eating my really good sunflower seeds that tasted like bacon and ranch. I was not aware of what I had really done. I was thinking to myself, “Did I really just do that ?” “Yes, I did!” Yeah, I’ve hit a lot of…
