It's 8 to 7 bases loaded with 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th inning, If we win this game we go to the championship, what we have all have been waiting for. As the sweat pours down my face in the 90 degree heat I know Sam can do it. If he gets on base it is all up to me. Sam goes up to bat. He is one of our best players. I hear strike 1, strike 2, ball, ball, and then he hits one right over the 1st baseman's head. Sam has hit Mason home there are 2 outs and the score is 8 to 8. All we have to do is score one more time. What happens next is all on my shoulders. I will either be the reason we win or the reason we go into extra innings. The pressure is on. I go up to bat. They were both stacked and crazy good. We weren't even supposed to be there as we where the number 5 seed . We beat the number 2 seed to go to the championship. Somehow the number 4 team beat the number 1 team and now we had to play them. Out of the 16 teams it came down to the number 4 and 5 to play in the championship game. There was never a bigger crowd than had ever been at any of our other games. There must have been 80 people and my whole family was there. We batted first with Karson there as the lead off hitter and gets a single. Mason goes up there and gets a single and escapes a double play. Few, they were both safe. Sam goes up there and strikes out. Then it was my turn. I bat in the 4th position so I am expected to always get a hit. I went up there and on the first strike they threw me I hit it 20 feet out of the ballpark. Everybody was cheering. I just hit a home run in a championship game! I ran around tapping every base base along the way. When I got to home plate the whole team was standing there waiting for me. As I touched home base my friends all started tapping on my helmet to celebrate. It was so much fun. As I headed back in the dugout to start eating my really good sunflower seeds that tasted like bacon and ranch. I was not aware of what I had really done. I was thinking to myself, “Did I really just do that ?” “Yes, I did!” Yeah, I’ve hit a lot of
