Narrative Report On Scotiabank
On April 25, 2009, at approximately 17:30, two unidentified black males entered the Scotiabank on 883 Memorial Street and began a bank robbery. After entering, one of the suspects pulled out a pistol and pointed it at the teller, while the other suspect jumped over the counter and grabbed the teller. The teller, Larry Wallace stated “The guy with the gun pointed at me said ‘You’re going to bring us to the safe, open it, fill my backpack with money, then pretended nothing happened’ and I complied”. The two suspects then brought Larry to the back room where the safe was, ordered him to open it then fill the suspect’s bag with money. Once the bag was filled, the one suspect pointed the gun at Larry once again, threatened him, then both suspects
fled the scene. Larry said “After I filled the bag, the man with the gun pointed at me again and said ‘If anyone finds out, you’re a dead man’”. At approximately 17:48, Larry called 9-1-1. Larry described one of the suspects as an African American male, about 18-21 years old, 150-180 lbs, short black hair, was wearing a baggy white golf shirt, tan pants, black shoes and a black back pack. The other suspect was described as an African American male, about 17-20 years old, 160-190 lbs, short black dreads in a bun, was wearing a white shirt, white gloves, tan pants, white shoes.
