“A Nation to Conquer”
The US government should reinstate the draft because a large part of the populace, millions spent on recruiting and all voluntary force is not adequate. Men and women had poor life with family because the draft took plenty of fathers from their households. Also it was a large population at the time and the military were in need of men to serve. Then in other forms the government spended million of dollars on these men to ensure that they had everything they needed in sight of the hard departure from the family.
One effect of this cause it all started with hand picked men that were going to serve no matter what. Then of the population the government took that into effect and just started taking men from families leaving and putting the women and children in charge to work. In the Nastion Redefined it states “Large talented pool of Americans who has brains stood up to terrorism.”(Flynn 38) So either way they picked …show more content…
In the newspaper article “Volunteerism remain a hallmark of both military and critic virtue.” (Hawkins) This draft just wasn’t for men that were hand picked some wanted to serve and make a impact for the country. Next, volunteer force of people were on the battlefield and the government had trust in many men.
In other sense of Americans and men the draft instilled teamwork and ownership to people who were volunteers. The government had to people but it was much helpful it was just making the U.S. stronger then we wanted. Many wars had volunteers from the Civil War, World War I and World War II but we all were successful and trusted in 100s of men to make a greater impact on society. So from day to day the Vietnam War changed a lot of actions of the government about citizens and recognized them a extraordinary citizen
