NBA GOAT
During the mid-1980 and all of the 90 kids all over the world look up to Michael Jordan. They all wanted to be a NBA basketball player. Jordan’s great athleticism made kids believe that they can fly. Jordan was a terrific offensive and defensive player. He is a 6-time NBA champ, 5-time season MVP, 6-time Finals MVP, 1-time Defensive Player of the Year, 14-time All-Star, 3-time All-Star MVP, 2-time slam dunk Champion, A rookie of the year Award winner, and 2-time Olympic Gold Medalist. 3 people that you can compare to Jordan that can also be named the greatest player are LeBron James, Ervin “ Magic” Johnson and Kobe Bryant. Jordan is the Greatest NBA player of all-time. Most people think that Ervin “Magic” Johnson is the G.O.A.T. They believe this because he was a 6’9 point guard that can play all position and that Jordan could not do that but, on the other hand Jordan could do something that Magic could not. When Jordan came on the court he would talk trash and tell the opposing shooting guard that he would shut them down then score 40 points on them. Magic could do that because that was not his play style. "Overall, I think Michael Jordan is the greatest athlete in any particular sport. He dominated the game for the Chicago Bulls and brought the NBA to its greatest peak of popularity." ~Will McDonough. Also Magic Johnson has said that said the greatest of all time. His exact words were "If somebody says no to you, or if you get cut, Michael Jordan was cut his first year, but he came back and he was the best ever. That is what you have to have. The attitude that I'm going to show everybody, I'm going to work hard to get better and better." ~ Magic Johnson.

The kids from the era of the 200s until now believe that LeBron James is the greatest of all time. Because coming straight of high school they have been calling LeBron the chosen one and King James before he has even step on a NBA court. This is what make Michael Jordan the greatest of all

“The Book of Basketball: The NBA According to the Sports Guy” by Bill Simmons, was a book only the Sports Guy could write. Save a few hundred pages for Simmons to inform the readers on how he became the basketball and Celtics fan he is today (hint: it was his dad choosing between a motorcycle and season tickets to the Celtics), why as a child he called himself Jabaal Abdul-Simmons, footnotes galore, his hatred for Isiah Thomas and Wilt Chamberlain, and many of the greatest “What-if’s” in basketball history. Other than that, Bill Simmons uses this behemoth of a book to indulge on his version of “The Secret” of basketball, winning championships, and gives his take on how the NBA Hall of Fame should be constructed. In a pyramid style ranking with five levels Bill Simmons has who he thinks should be where, as of 2009, and each level getting smaller and smaller due to the higher standard. It all ends with the 12 best of all time, sitting atop the pyramid like kings with Michael Jordan number one. Again there was no one other than Simmons to write this book. “You could dress me red, drop in into a Crips neighborhood, tell me that I have 12 minutes to start a high-caliber NBA conversation before somebody puts a cap in my ass...and I would…

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are two of the greatest basketball players to ever live. The way they play the game is memorizing. These two athletes are very extraordinary, though only one can be called the greatest of all time. The debate still and will always continue on who is the best. On one hand, there is the 6 time NBA champion in Michael Jordan; in the other there is the phenom who scored eighty- one points in one game, Kobe Bryant. In my opinion, Michael Jordan is and will always be the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. When I think of the word, "legend", only one name comes to my mind and that name is Michael Jordan. Even the president of the United States thinks MJ is the better choice. "Oh, Michael," the lifelong basketball fan told The Associated Press "I mean Kobe's terrific. Don't get me wrong," Obama said of the four-time NBA champion. "But I haven't seen anybody match up with Jordan yet". Michael Jordan tops Kobe Bryant in many ways, such as: offense, defense, and overall career achievements.…
