The little black book of connection by Jeffrey Gitomer is a book written to make conscious people that built strong personal and business networks are a powerful tool to multiply their connections and business development. Jeffrey Gitomer use is humorous style to present his point and approach to the reader and is not telling what to do like most others book. It just gives you real ideas about real situation that may help you in the future.

In business and life, connection and relationships are very important. Everyone has a circle of influence which normally is your circle of trust. As Jeffrey Gitomer said at the beginning of his book, “All things being equal, people want to do business with their friends. All things being not quite so equal, people still want to do business with their friends.”
Most people and so do I know what they are capable to do, however what you know sometimes is not enough to reach your goal but books like, The little book of connection, are capable to cover that space that you don’t know and provide you with guidance in order to be success in what you want.

First of all, I consider The 17.5 strategies, guidelines, and rules of connecting as well as the ‘how-to’’ of networking, important enough to take a look of them and implement them. Some of them are already implemented on me thanks of my parents. However, there is one aspect, maybe a little bit obvious but no less important, which is believed in yourself, be confident. No matter what happen always believes in you and do everything to reach your belief.

Started from know, I will form a circle of trust and make the one that I have known much more strong and as Gitomer said I am an International Student from Chile and the fact of being here studying at a university in the United States opens a world of opportunities to create connection and make strong relation among my friends, professors or people in general which in the future could be part of a business.

The book chapter was mainly about finding yourself; striving to be a linchpin. If you look at yourself and all of your qualities, are you a linchpin? Are you indispensable? Linchpins have their own way of thinking and figuring out a problem. There is no need for a manual on how to figure out problem solving. It comes naturally to a linchpin. The chapter states that obtaining deep domain knowledge changes things. Combining unique ideas, knowledge and making smart decisions increases chances for success. Lester Wunderman used the technique of direct marketing. He introduced the world to the ideas of understanding strategy and decision making. This made it easier to map out plans and understand others deeper than what they let off. This illustrates one who is good at organizing for a company. In a company, organizing ideas in a unique way that works for everyone is a gift. This skill is something that can be learned and you can always get better at it. I agree completely with this book. It makes me feel like anyone can be indispensable. Godin basically says you can train yourself to matter and be indispensable. Everyone is not born with special talents that distinguish them from another person. If you are not born with the talent, go out and discover your talent. Work hard a being the best you and discover those unique linchpin qualities. A linchpin sees no fear…

The operation is simple as collection of bridges in a local area network (LAN) can be depicted as a graph whose nodes are bridges and LAN segments (or cables), and whose edges are the interfaces connecting the bridges to the segments. To break loops in the LAN while maintaining access to all LAN segments, the bridges collectively compute a spanning tree. The spanning tree is not necessarily a minimum cost spanning tree. A network administrator can reduce the cost of a spanning tree, if necessary, by altering some of the configuration parameters in such a way as to affect the choice of the root of the spanning tree. The spanning tree that the bridges compute using the Spanning Tree Protocol can be determined using the following rules. The example network at the right, below, will be used to illustrate the rules.…
