In this short news clip was very informative as it discussed a case about a young girl whom sued her place of employment due to wrongful treatment while pregnant. In this clip Anahita Sedaghatfar discusses that you may fire a pregnant worker, you just can’t fire them due to being pregnant. She does not believe the young girl had a valid reason for suing.

Understanding that law fails to addresses everything is important. Just as the nation has seen in the past, just because the law permits the treatment of an employee to be one way, does not mean that is necessarily the best of correct way of approaching an issue.

In this article by Robin Immerman, four key points are developed on how you should identify whether or not you are experiencing discrimination in the workplace. Inman lists what to do when you believe your rights are being abused. This includes, making a list, asking coworkers, talking with your employer and finding out more information as to whether or not your circumstance can be classified as discrimination.
Immerman makes some good suggestions as what to do when you believe you may be falling victim to discrimination based on pregnancy. I found the most important to me would be to write down cases in which you think the discrimination is occurring, as well as the last point which is to find out more. I think self reflection on whether you feel you are being discriminated against and whether you are being discriminated against are important to
