Nonprofits Problem

It is my belief that the source of the problem should also be the solution. Government has allowed and perpetuated systemic racism, the cycle of poverty, and chronic hunger. Therefore, I believe the bulk of responsibility for addressing and working to solve these complex issues should fall at the government’s feet. Nonprofits were created to address a market failure, and as such, I believe they are a vital tool in addressing these complex social problems as well. I believe the main role the government should play is working to create equitable policy. Secondarily, government should provide adequate resources to nonprofits who are working to address these existing issues.
