Currently, the news stations are only giving away a part of what’s happening in order to get a rise out of society. What needs to start happening is more explanation on what is being expressed in the media. For instance, the reporters should go into a bit more detail about the specifications of the weapons that the North Koreans are firing. At the moment, they’re only stating the fact that the North Koreans are testing ballistic missiles. This winds up putting fright in the people’s minds when there is nothing to fear because the missiles being used are expected to go no more than 1500 miles. The tests have barely made it off the launch pad and blow up mid air a couple of seconds later.
Morally, I feel that the media needs to be more detailed in what they express. They may have to stay on a single event for 5 more minutes, but maybe then people wouldn’t be so panicked when they hear about another country having missiles.
In this satire, I used exaggeration and incongruity. The exaggeration is seen in the media bleachers because the people are shouting quotes that express fear when there is nothing to fear at all. The incongruity is seen with the rocket as it is obviously not a tiny, little bottle
