Northeast Compare And Contrast
Have you ever wondered what the Northeast and the South are very different kinds of climates, physical geography, economy, and resources. In this essay I will be covering all of these things.
The physical geography of the Northeast, includes rocky coastlines, the rocky coastlines are mainly found in the state of Maine. With many beautiful lighthouses along the coast. With rolling farmlands in Pennsylvania, which helps to build the state's economy and is one of the state’s best natural resource. Or the bustling city of New York, which has one of the best economies in the US. However Pennsylvania is the only place that you can find good farmland in. The rest of the Northeast has poor farmlands with rocky soils and steep hills and slopes.
In the South the physical geography changes. The biggest difference are the flat lands. With good farm lands unlike the Northeast with the rocky lands. One of the similarities are the rivers. Part of the

In Pennsylvania there is coal rich areas, however outside of Pennsylvania with the coal, the Northeast has very few other mineral resources. Along the rocky coastline is a great place for harbors, so one of the natural resources in the area is the water. Since colonial times the people have been using the water for their advantage, they have been using it for fishing, transportation. This helps to build the economy.
The South’s biggest natural resource is farming and agriculture, due to the great farm lands that they have, unlike the Northeast. Another major natural resource is oil that you cannot find in the Northeast. One of the resources the Northeast and the South have in common is the water in the areas. With the water it helps for fishing which is another natural resource that the South and the Northeast both have in common. To help strengthen the economy in both of the areas of the South and the Northeast
