Now a days, children got it made they have so many different things to do in their pastime that their parents are just losing control. When I was a child, I had to do things differently then I see children having to do today, some of the activities that I see them participate in I did not have the option to. Today children are too relaxed and have no real form of structure they depend totally on the world around them. They depend on technology and friends, and not enough on their own common sense.
Television is the first pastime activity that children today take too much advantage. Back in the day, when I was a child, which is not that far back, things were a lot different than they are now. For instance, when my siblings and I came home from school, we did not come in and watch television, it was not an option. We did our homework and then chores around the house, the TV. was not to be turned on until my father said so, he also monitored what we watched and we respected that, plus when we did watch TV it was off by 9pm whither it was a school night or not. It is a television and it is for entertainment and I understand that but for children, no matter what age there should be a line.
Video games are another pastime hobby that is being pushed at our children. Video games are fun, but some children now a day’s know more about video games then they do math. They are making more electronics for children then they make for adults.
