Nra Informative Speech

So how do you talk about something that is highly controversial without anyone getting mad. You don’t. So were going to talk about the NRA. For those who've been hiding in a political rock the NRA is a pro gun rights group. Their the ones who who wanted teachers to have guns in classrooms. Their the ones who said they would tolerate death and killings if it strengthened their fight for gun laws.(Garret, Ben) They’re the ones who said armed guards and metal detector in school seem like a good idea! What in the world is the NRA doing? Is what their doing even good? Let's take a little trip through their “GREAT IDEAS”.

Firstly, the NRA wants to arm teachers with guns. There are 3.1 million teachers in the US. That’s insane! Each teacher
Sure you want your children to be protected but Armed guards and metal detectors are a double edged sword. On one hand it gives children the safety of knowing anyone who comes into school is gun free and not dangerous, but on the other hand it fills your students with fear because no matter how “safe” you may make your school it could still happen. Did I mention that school is a prison for many students. Doing this discourages students from going to school because it makes school feel more like a prison than a place for students to learn. I mean if we are going to add guards and metal detectors then lets add a moat and crocodiles. Since the NRA can afford “anything”. I mean metal detectors aren't even that useful considering it can't tell the difference from a large metal buckle and a gun. If you were to search up “how do guns get past metal detectors” you would get a website telling you that a 3d printed gun won’t get past a metal detector and then a YouTube video telling you how to get a gun past a metal detector… WHAT!! Why is there a video telling you how to sneak a gun past metal detectors! ON YOUTUBE a site that is targeted towards younger adolescents and children. CHILDREN I
