1. The esteros are the place where illegal settlers base their homes because it is the cheapest way to own a house. Poverty is one of the causes why illegal settlers set up their “barong-barongs” along the esteros. And for that reason alone, and also due to the malpractice of the people living there, they throw their wastes along the running waters of the estero. And it results to the clogging of the areas that the running waters should run.
2. Having dumpsites near the major cities is a very bad idea. Just the thought that you live near the place your dump all your wastes are just bad. It’s like eating where you shit. I am imposing this being a bad idea in the sense that it has been done before like in Quezon City. They made Payatas a dumpsite; where they throw all the waste from almost all the cities around the region to one place. And it did not end happily. Sometime ago, the famous Payatas dumpsite crash down or had a landslide that killed a lot of people. And as for the effect? Just remember the day that this incident occurred.
3. Ah the urban poor. The number one cause of this is the lack of education. Actually, this country can suffice the needs of the people when it comes to education. The only problem is those people who want to learn. They lack the urge to learn and educate themselves. And for that reason, they blame the government. And what does the government do? They spoon feed these people. This is just a thought, why are the foreigners the ones who achieve success and not us? Maybe because they work hard on the things they want to achieve I guess. The reason is they think outside their comfort zone. While the urban poor work hard to live to suffice their everyday needs. That’s not a good practice.
4. Illegal logging is well, illegal of course. You can’t deny the fact that even though the government put so much effort in stopping these practice, they still manage to do it. Actually, I really don’t know the cause of illegal
