A: MHS explains to member the importance of keeping his hands to himself and the possible consequences of his actions. MHS and member will identify and discuss the things that seem to trigger violence towards siblings.
R: Member seemed a little frustrated and distracted at the beginning of session. After sitting with member MHS inquired about member’s day at school and the possible reason for his current frustration. Member stated “I just did not have a good day that’s all.” MHS then begin to discuss with member the importance of keeping his hands to himself and the possible results of his actions. Member did not seem interested in topic and begin to slightly shut down. MHS and member wrote down a list of triggers that lead to his violent attacks on siblings. After reading over member’s list of triggers MHS discussed with member alternatives to use when being provoked by siblings. MHS also encouraged member to get more involved in physical activities; which could possibly aid in less anger and frustration. Member stated that he would be interested in playing sports. MHS took note of member’s interest and concluded a future plan to speak with member’s mother about enrolling member into after school activities. Member became excited with the motion of possibly being able to play sports. MHS informed member that participating in after school sports was not a necessity but a privilege. …show more content…
