Odysseus 'Nicodemus' Accomplishments Of Jesus
All who care about life wonder about what's next, the thought that there has to be something further in life crosses all of our mind’s at least once in our life. Something considerable that all of us are missing, something that would cause all of the pain and suffering, that all of us individually experience everyday, worth it. That was the case for Nicodemus, who came to Jesus in the middle of the night, seeking that truth that considerable thing that we all look for. Nicodemus believed that He could undoubtedly be the Messiah that had been prophesied about for thousands of years. The Messiah that God promised to Israel.

Before he even went to Jesus, he must have thought about the consequences of him being heard of going to speak with Jesus. That would have crushed his reputation and there definitely would have been grave consequences. But, when he pushed past that thought and mustered up enough mental strength and courage to the point where he could go and converse with Jesus, he had to pull up enough courage within himself to go speak with Jesus and devise a strategy to actually go and speak with Him. They took his body down of the cross gently and he assisted in placing Jesus’ body in the tomb. This was at extreme risk to his own safety and his reputation because he was a popular man. This once again shows his courage and faith that everything would be OK. This specific example, I believed showed his newly found faith in Jesus Christ. The gentle care and reverence shows that he actually believes in Jesus, and respects his holiness. Nicodemus also donated 75 pounds of expensive myrrh and aloes to anoint Jesus' body after Jesus died. Nicodemus through these actions shows unbelievable respect and reverence for Jesus.
