Social worker
Education and training
Education and training that is needed for a social worker would be either an undergraduate honors degree or a post graduate honors degree. To work as a social worker you must have at least one of these degrees. These degrees are specialised for social work and for people that want to become social workers. For people that want to be social workers they also need a certificate to prove that they are fit and eligible to work for the position they are applying for. A placement working with either social services or with children is also required to be able to work as a practicing social worker.
Knowledge, skills and understanding
Knowledge about social work is needed because you cannot go into the work place without knowing anything because social work can involve sensitive issues that they may know nothing about how to deal with it. Skills that are needed for the job are important as they are the things you need to be able to work as a practicing social worker efficiently. The ability to relate to
