One of the jobs Angela worked was at the local high school. She was the night janitor, so she spent most of her night alone as she cleaned. As she mopped the floor one evening, she slipped on the wet floor and fell down a flight of stairs. While her injuries could have been worse, she still suffered from a bruised arm and a broken hospital.
The injuries were less important to Angela than the cost. Now, she had a humongous hospital bill to pay. Worse still, she would not be able to work at all for a month while she recovered. With so many bills to pay and half of their normal income, the couple's wedding dreams were gradually slipping away.
