Firstly, the revolutionary new online class has many great aspects to offer. The working environment to an online calls is what the student makes it out to be. IF the student feels the desire to feel as if they are in a classroom, then it isn't very hard to log into a computer and sit at a desk during class sessions, but if the student desires a more relaxed form of schooling they could just simply slip into a comfortable set of pajamas and have their class sessions in the comfort of their bed. With an online class the environment is self paced, if one chooses to take a break and resume at a later time there would …show more content…
nothing stopping the student. It is recommended, if the student is juggling both work and school an online class would be the best route to go to cut some time in half.
Another aspect of an online class is productivity. Depending on the student, in the comfort of one's home there could be many distractions such as children, television, or household chores that would evidently lead to the student failing courses. On the other hand, there are some student who use online classes as a way to increase productivity, the faster they finish their class sessions, the more time they have to work or do necessary objectives they couldn't have done otherwise.
In an online classroom setting access to help is limited. When a student shows diligence and can understand lessons easily the need for help isn't necessary. In most cases a student will always need access to help, and when a student enrolls in an online class they are limited to using either the internet or email teachers for needed questions.
Secondly, In a classroom, things can get quite interesting. The environment that a classroom provides is something that has been around for ages. Classrooms can be tense, if the professor is strict, the more tense the learning environment for the student will be. In any classroom the environment is only as relaxed as the professor makes it to be, it will never be as comforting as a warm bed and a laptop, but the piper must be cut at some point. If a student behave the comfort environment of the classroom can be closely compared to the comfort of an online class.
Productivity in a classroom will always be higher than in an online class. Again the productivity level is based on the professor, if the professor is constantly out of the classroom the students are more likely to waste time and not do assignments. Classrooms are all based on motivation, the instructor has an obligation to motivate their students to strive for exceptional grades, without it productivity level is worse than in an online class.
The most impressive aspect of a traditional classroom setting, is the convenience of help. As online classes restrict the amount of assistance a student can receive is limited, in a classroom the student has an abundance of instructors, librarians, and tutors to access assistance. It is more helpful to have a one-on-one tutor than to visit multiple search engines and still come up with little to no information about the subject at hand.
Lastly there is a lot to say about either online classes or physical classrooms.
In comparison online classes and physical classrooms, both rely on the student for an enjoyable environment and a productive workplace. In both the student has the decision, either to annoy the teacher to have a tense working environment, or to simply choose to so the class sessions from the comfort of one's bed.
In contrast, access to help is the main selling point for either online classes or physical classrooms, you could either have minimal assistance and try to pass classes alone or get a professional, free tutor that is available during any school hours. On the other hand the working environment is very different if the student chooses it to be, in an online setting the student is always going to be relaxed no matter the method of doing class sections. In a classroom the students can choose whether they will behave to have a more relaxed working environment, either way it will never be as comfortable as taking classes in a set of
pajamas.
When choosing between online classes and physical classes three things should always be considered; environment, productivity and access to help. Either decision is a good decision it all just depends on the students motivation for either.
