They could have simply been putting up an act while always having been in love. There are many possibilities that could explain Beatrice and Benedick’s relationship with each other. They could have simply thought that they were too good for love, but lost their pride when a wedding was planned. Maybe they were waiting until Hero and Claudio got married.
They could have possibly been waiting until a wedding to start their own relationship so that they wouldn’t have to focus on their relationship and Hero and Claudio’s.
If this was their true intention, they wouldn’t have gone through that much trouble. Additionally, their friends and family wouldn’t have to set them up if they were already in love. After being deceived, they changed their views on love because they fell in love.
People are more attracted to each other when they have things in common than when they are complete opposites. Benedick and Beatrice share the same views and thoughts on many things and their personalities are also very similar. Also, they didn’t like each other at first but after hearing the positive things about each other, they start to find each other
