Because it was so long, I only really remember the first half, which was Adagio-Allegro and Adagietto. There were a lot of dynamic changes in these two movements. It would start off forte, have a diminuendo and just when I thought it was over, the orchestra hits you with a crescendo and fortissimo from the percussion. I believe this was conducted in 2/2 time based on the conductor’s hand movements as well as the watching the bass play. I like the staccato in the harmony played by the first violins and the melody played by the second violins and violas. For most of this piece however, I found myself getting lost because I couldn’t recognize a distinctive melody since it kept
