According to Naviance, an Orthodontist is a doctor who examines, diagnoses, and treats dental malocclusions and oral cavity irregularity. They design and assemble appliances to realign teeth and jaws to produce and maintain normal function. When I interact with others, in a formal or informal manner, I make certain that I am always friendly and display compassion. Being friendly and showing compassion as a doctor is important because by showing patients’ that I care about them and can empathize with them, it will instill a bond that says the patient trust me with their dental needs and possibly beyond their dental needs. Not to mention, many people remind me of “bubbly” personality and Mrs. Devorkin once told me that she can see my “heart is full of compassion”. This is a great trait, especially working with children. To add to my experience with communication skills, being apart of a sports team and participating in other activities out of school such as girl scouts, theatre, and church events, I know how to get along with the people that are around me. I also communicate important information with others quite well. For example, I have a younger brother who often asks me for help with his homework and I also have certain friends who will do the same. This is great practice for my future because in a workplace, I must know how to effectively explain essential information to help
