Osama bin Laden is one of the most dangerous terrorists of the twenty-first century. It was necessary that we caught Osama bin Laden because he would still be plotting attacks on others and us. Osama was part of a powerful terrorist group called the Al-Qaeda. His biggest attack was in New York City when two people from the Al-Qaeda flew into the world trade center. “All of a sudden there were people screaming. I saw people jumping out of the building. Their arms were flailing. I stopped taking pictures and started crying.”
Osama was born on 10,1957 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His father had fifty children and he was the seventh born. When he got older his parents had a divorce and he moved in with his mother. He attended Al Thagher Model School it was one of the most respected high school in Jedda. He was recognized as an outstanding student. He received an invitation to join an Islamic study group. His mother remembered that he was "not an A student. He would pass exams with average grades." His study group ended up loosing its original focus, which he learned the principles of jihad.
While he was at college in the late 1970s, he became a follower of the radical pan-Islamist scholar Abdullah Azzam, who believed that all Muslims should rise up in jihad, or holy war, to create a single Islamic state. In 1979 Osama joined the afghan resistance, when the Soviet Union invaded Afhganistan. When the Soviet
Union left Afhganistan, Osama was considered as a “freedom fighter.” Shortly after that Osama started speaking out publicly about Saudi Aribia’s government dependence on America’s troops. He was exiled in 1992 and lived in Sudan.
