College is a vital part of life for most successful people; most often giving graduates an edge over less educated counterpart for employment. More jobs than ever before now require a college education. Somewhere between living life, paying for life, and striving for passing grades, there many reasons why students fall short of acquiring the almighty degree. These students may temporarily or permanently negatively affect their earning potential and quality of life by dropping out of college. One of the most common reasons for dropping out of college is not being able to make ends meet. College is extremely expensive, with tuition ranging between $3,500 and $34,000 a semester. Students have the option to apply for federal aid to help finance college, however, there are many students who do not qualify.
