Anna has been diagnosed with autism or autism spectrum disorder, ASD, and there is no known cure. When a goal is accomplished, the child is rewarded, using positive reinforcement (Autism Speaks School Community Tool Kit. n.d.). DTT may help Anna to reach her goals by the little rewards she receives for the small steps she accomplishes along the way.
