Every day, someone in the world feels that they have no purpose to live and believe their current situation is unbearable. In many cases - to fix their problem, these individuals make the final decision to commit suicide; the act of intentionally taking one’s own life. Suicide is an ineffective solution to a temporary problem, unfortunately no one truly understands what suicide victims experience at the time their decision to “end it” becomes inevitable. At the time of contemplating suicide, survivors of attempted suicide reported that they often felt they have lost control of life and believe their problems are unsolvable. Bullying comes in many forms such physical, verbal, emotional and most common- cyber bullying. Reasons for bullying include race, looks, disabilities, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation and many more. Although, school is considered a safe and fun place for children to learn and make friends this “safe place” is where most bullying occurs; school can be a dreadful and negative environment for homosexual children and teens. When it comes so school bullying, “about one fourth of all students from elementary age through high school are the victims of bullying and harassment while on school property … gay and lesbian teens are two to three times as more likely to commit teen suicide than other youths”. Teens who are bullied in school for their sexual orientation fear attending school and often begin to skip school to avoid harsh treatment by which results in a higher drop pout rate for LGBTQ
