Obedience and Conformity are both highly looked upon in the public service sector, this is because to be a successful team in public services you have to be able to work together successfully as a team and obedience and conformity both are a desired attribute when the public service department are recruiting.
Conformity- when you change your behaviour or actions to fit in with people around you, people will tend to do anything for a person working in the public service department as long as they have their uniform on. People aspire to get involved with public services as they like being part of a service, so when they are employed into a service they want to feel like they belong to that service and this is an important concept of conformity.
