Riley and her parents had moved to a new state and lost everything she loved. Her emotions had characteristics as people, and controlled her feelings and emotions. When the character “Sadness” started to overtake her emotions, “Joy” was trying to stop her. Sadness and Joy accidentally got kicked out of the “headquarters”, and “Anger”, “Fear”, and “Disgust” had to control Riley’s emotions. From then on she began to act out. Due to Sadness changing all of her happy memories to something she will never have again. Anger was the most strongest emotion in Riley’s head and he began to control her. She lost friendships, interest in hockey, and started to loose her family. Riley soon lost of controlling her own emotions and couldn’t find a way to be happy. Throughout Riley's life, Joy did what she could to feel her happy.
