Overcoming Hardships
Life changing experiences can be a great teaching method to learn from and better your life. Overcoming hardships with my family has helped me develop the person, student, daughter, and sister I am today. Because of my hardship I work hard to try to become better everyday and create a good future for myself and my family. Growing up in a big family was a great advantage to being happy and always occupied. Going on trips with my family frequently was the most exciting growing up and seeing new things. My parents were as happy as a couple could be and so were my two older brothers getting new cars and anything they had asked for. We had to cope with the money we had until my dad had found a new job. We had to cut down on spending and just focus on the stuff we really needed. I even had to stop gymnastics and just stay home. Finally, after a week my dad got a job at Berkeley Farms, but this meant he had to commute back and forth everyday. He had to do it because pay was good and he always says he does it for us. The money was not like before but we still always have a good time. Seeing my family struggle was not pleasing. My dad always coming home tired and grouchy was a whole new experience for me because my dad is always happy. I try my best to become the best person I could be just to make my parents proud. My only focus is to do good in school and be the best person I could be to others, because you never know what people go through at home. Now, I learn how to cope with what I have because I am grateful for my family and the roof I have over my head and the food that is on the table. I am continuously focused on just my school work, because I want to go to college and become a registered nurse. I want to be able to bring home good money to my family one day and make my parents proud and give back to them for everything they did and continue to do and provide for me and my older
