Brown admitted that leaders are under pressure to satisfy the expectations of many people at the same time. However, such as scenario is impossible thus the leader must prioritize different roles to achieve effectiveness. The most important issues that the principal identifies in his roles as an educational leader include gender issues, quality of education, sustainable and effective management of school resources, and introduction of contemporary reforms in the school. Gender issues not only address the employment and treatment of female teachers at the school but also encompasses the performances of girl students in school, in arts, language and science subjects. The quality of education concerns passing rate of students in state or national exams and their continued success in high school and college. According to the principal, effective utilization of resources is challenging because of scarcity but they must find better ways of how to mobilize sufficient resources and ensure that students and teachers use them effectively to better overall performance.
