Panera Bread need inspect the low penetration markets cities or pilot project. Open new stores at untapped markets. Like New York City, New Orleans and Toronto. As a franchise restaurant, Panera Bread need open new market to attract people come the restaurant, Panera Bread need open new one at a big city like New York.
Firstly we need do the market research include competitors, consumer and location. We need know the competitors’ market share in the region. Consumer’s income and demographics.
Secondly let Houston as a pilot to validate our decision-making is correct. If the effect is good, we will enter the market.
Thirdly we enter the market.
Last we measure the strategy. We will compare the income statement before enter the market and after enter the market. If the second chart is better than first one, it proves that our strategy is successful.
2. Open new restaurant at high penetration markets nearby office lock and University. Workers and college students are also need quick-service meal and a good environment for meal.
Firstly we need do research about the office workers and University students. Include what they want eat; when they want have a meal, which kind of meal they want.
Secondly we need fina a pilot to highlight it, and show the different with other Panera Bread restaurant. Jus like: more efficient service, and the taste is more suited to young people.
Thirdly implementation this policy in this market.
