Paper Gastvrijheid
1. Inleiding

Volgens ‘Van Daele groot woordenboek der Nederlandse taal’ betekent gastvrijheid:

In 1928, Joseph Stalin became one of the world’s most contentious leaders. During the period that Stalin was in control of mother Russia, he transformed the Soviet Union into a modern super power. He used certain methods to change Russia. He did this by modernizing the Russian economy with his Five Year Plans. He also increased industrial and agricultural production with his policy of collectivization. He carried out purges or the harsh movements against his enemies to make sure he kept total control of the U.S.S.R.…

    * The property, plant and equipment portion of the Consolidated Balance Sheet of Sterling Homex shows a significant increase from 1970 to 1971. The Major contributor to its drastic increase is the “Buildings” account. From 1,702,924.00 it increased to 4,822,055.00, the movement was not explained in the notes though it may be attributed to the expansion of Homex in 1971. When referencing the word communication there are elements and components that define this process we know as communication. With verbal communication it is understood that communication is a process, not an event. It is also understood that this process involves two or more people in order to communicate. Lastly, the primary purpose of communication is to exchange information. With these three elements alone they only begin to break down the definition of communication. There is a five step process that has to take place. First, an idea has to be transmitted, next a message has to be sent through a medium, the message then has to be received, and then the idea has to be understood, and lastly feedback has to be provided to the sender. There are many factors that can effect nonverbal communication such as facial expressions, posture, and eye contact to name a few examples. Although you are not physically speaking you are still communicating using different cues. When using non verbal communication you have to encode and decode. When you encode you make facial expressions, gestures, etc. Decoding is interrupting the information you receive.…

The Dutch are stoned all the time, they wear wooden shoes and all Dutch are tall, have blond hair and blue eyes. At least half the population is gay, tulips are everywhere, there is lots of freedom “everything is accepted”, Wind mills, the Dutch are greedy “going Dutch”, cheese, Amsterdam is heaven and every Dutch shed keeps at least a dozen bicycles. All of these are stereotypes of the Netherlands and the Dutch culture. Some are true and some are false. Yes, they are commonly tall but not all of them. Yes, soft drugs are legalized, but no, they are not stoned all the time, in fact the usage is twice as low as in the United States. This paper is about the way the Dutch people look, work, live, and experience everyday life despite the stereotypes that the world perceives about the Netherlands.…
