3. What is the specific purpose for your speech? Review to the appropriate chapter in your textbook to write a specific purpose statement for your speech.
Based on the results on the Audience analysis survey, the purpose of my speech is to inform my audience on parents who return to college after having children. After listening to my speech, my audience will be able to list reasons why parents decided to further their education and return to college.

4. Audience Analysis:
This topic is important for my audience because based on the results from the survey analysis, 3 out of 9 of the participants have children. Keeping in mind that 55% of the participants are under the age of 25, they may have children or may choose to have children in the future. This speech will inform them on why other parents return to school despite having children throughout their educational career, it may help them in the future if faced with such an experience. The remaining participants are between the ages of 25-64, if they already have children, they may relate to the ideals of why they chose to return for a higher education.
