Patience is a quality in humans that is lacked by many, possessed by few and chased by little. The lack of it has resulted to the failure of numerous people worldwide. It should have been an essential and distinguishing attribute to a degree or grade of excellence within people, but somewhat it was avoided due to excessive desire to acquire more and a dislike of anything that causes delay.
It is very unscrupulous to have impatience rule over patience. The keenness to make sense by getting angry to make a point does not win an argument but rather result to a fight or feelings of hate. Wisdom comes with patience, so does legitimacy. Having something said first does not make it the real truth because the truth is always one, the rest are stories.
Patience also means: not reacting adversely. The power to withstand hardship or stress both mentally and physically is an attribute of patience. It comes with composure, which helps you to overlook before reacting. Whether you are being cheated or being seated upon, whether you are strong or weak, whether you are rich or poor, sometimes you need to have patience to achieve anything. The patient dog eats the fattest bone, not the strongest and not the richest but the patient one.
The fact that you can’t catch your shadow shows that you can’t have it all. Some people may have had it all without patience, while some need to hold their fire to be successful in life. It seems very difficult but it might be your only key to the door, that which you are destined to. Waiting is sustainable because a lot might come your way while you wait to harvest diamonds.
