Patriotic Duty
Patriotic Duty I believe in the soldier every little boy wants to become. By this I mean I believe in serving your country. As children we have all probably played army man and doctor, and we had fun. But what happened to that? Is it like the bad taste in our mouth? So very dry and disgusting finding out we have to actually work to achieve those? In my opinion I find it as a pride to look forward to, serving my country and protecting others. I like America I find I should serve it as my patriotic duty. I think we should support our service men and women too. Why aren’t we required to do a public service? I think it would boost the morale of America, if we all did a public service. In order to support our public service workers we need to be a public service workers. I mean, a public service worker gets paid crap, gets treated like crap, and gets crap for anything they say. No one can really relate in any way to that, they’d have to see them through their values. I find that we need to support our public service workers. From postmen to veterans, they all deserve the respect they worked for. Now if everyone was a public service worker, not only would they have supported their country, but they learned what it takes to be a public service worker.
Now am I saying “Everyone needs to work for the government until they die!”? No, I am merely saying America has been home for everyone long enough, now it’s time to pay the rent. See, that’s respect, putting someone else’s time in front of yours to make a difference. It doesn’t have to be forever, but it would be at least respectful to show pride in your nation.
Now as I see it, public service workers don’t get enough praise, or respect they deserve. It’s sad to see a man, a man who went from hell and back, loose everything the moment he steps off the plane. Winded and sad he just stands there, hot tears stream down his face, his battle hardened face. No amount of training or throat hurting yelling could have ever

Imagine getting off the plane in the U.S. after fighting for 11 years in Iraq and dozens of people line the hallway and wave American flags to honor all the soldiers that returned from fighting. That is what it is like for most American troops that come back from fighting, but once they get their life moving from the battlefield they realize that the government that they fought for was not helping them after the fight. No matter how much the general public supports them it still will not help when going down the road. Even though some live life well and easy does not mean they all do. The government does not do enough for the veterans.…

Veterans are men and women who have fought to protect our right to be free. These people put their lives on the line; risking the loss of bones, organs or even memory. These are extraordinary human beings if I say so myself. They deserve to be treated like royalty, yet more than 67% of the homeless population have served for our country for at least than 3 years. 47% of them served in the Vietnam War. This goes to show how “united” the United States really is.…

Have you ever wondered why the military and our veterans are important? I mean really thought about it. Yes, they keep us safe, but it’s that and so much more. Without them our country wouldn’t exist and we wouldn’t have the rights that we have now. They fought in past wars, the present wars, and will fight in wars to come.…

For example, my Grandpa is a veteran, but he already has a home and a family to fall back on. Some people that are in the military do not have a home. They cannot afford a home and they can barely afford food after they are done being in the military. Some people don't have a family to take care of them. It is not like the veterans wanted this. They did not think that they were going to be homeless after all that they have done for us. That is why we need to assure them that they will be taken care of if the need to be taken care of. The people in the military to to know that they will not be out on the streets after what they have done for…

    Veterans Day Respect

With Veteran’s Day coming around the corner I decided to write about why veterans should be respected in our country. Some people believe that we shouldn’t have as big as an army or just that they don’t like veterans because they were in a war. This should be different. Those soldiers didn’t choose the war they were going to fight in they go out and fight for our country with everything that they have. These soldiers should be respected because of their courage, loyalty, respect.…

True soldiers of hope do not do what they do for glory, fame, or to be superior over others, they do what they do because of the love in their heart and soul and for the greater good of mankind. Any real soldier can tell you this awe inspiring statement, as it is a reflection of their motivation, the element which compels them to push on and do what they are called on to do. More so, this motivation retains to members of the Army National Guard, citizen-soldiers who can, at any instance, put all aspects of their lives on hold in order to serve for the greater good of their country. And while it is true that people who join the National Guard gain access to substantial military and educational benefits, as well as excellent training applicable to both military and civilian careers, nothing can compare to the undefinable pride of being apart of something bigger.…

It saddened me to hear that a few months ago a bill to assist veterans in finding jobs, in which their military skills would be utilized, was voted down in Senate. Sponsored by Senator Patty Murray, "Veterans Jobs Corps Act of 2012", was thought to be a sure pass. The vote was 58-40; only 2 more votes were needed to pass this bill. This bill was effectively killed on the Senate floor by the Republican party on September, 19, 2012. The "Veterans Jobs Corps Act of 2012" was meant to tackle feelings of uselessness by giving our overqualified heroes an opportunity to work in fields appropriate to their abilities (For example police, firemen, armed security, etc.).…

No, I don’t believe that the U.S. Government is serving the populace in the most diligently way possible. Today which is different from the service people of even my father’s era? In his day back in 1946 WWII had just ended. Though women were on the front lines as nurses they weren’t there as a moving part of the military, flying planes, driving tanks, on board of ships to bearing a weapon. Times are a changing! Poor grammar yes but that was the way that phrase goes. Now today also gays and Lesbians are allowed to be “Out and proud”! We were always there just now we have a voice and a Right to openly serve. We have always been in the military defending our neighbors.…

Confidentiality between client and therapist could be a risky and tricky. There is no set standard toward the restrictions of its content. It’s morally right to respect and protect the client trusting information but at times it is ethically and legally impossible to keep this information confidential. The duty to warn is that obligated by case law the therapist has to notify the victim or law enforcement of serious threat or harm (Corey, Corey, & Callanan, 2011). “The duty to protect maintains ways to maintain client confidentiality” (Corey, Corey, & Callanan, 2011). The purpose of this paper will be to identify legal history of duty to warn and duty to protect, to identify legal and ethical dilemmas that can arise when breaking confidentiality and how this writer would address such dilemmas.…

As I sit in my classroom and look around to each of my peers I hear them talk about how “This is too much work!”, “I hate being in school.”, “I'm dropping out and never coming back!”. I realize how fortunate we are unlike the kids in other countries who don’t even get the opportunity to go to school. For the ones who do get the chance they have to go through great lengths such as walking long distances or they don't have the appliances to handed to them like we do in America. I've decided that my responsibility to America is to ensure that I'm taking advantage of all of my education opportunities to the best of my ability, in anyway that I can.…

I believe it is every able body citizen’s duty to somehow give back to our great nation. President John F.
