Pups save Friendship Day! In the 25 minute episode from the series Paw Patrol, the young pups are decorating and making cards to celebrate friendship day. The main characters in this series are Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rubble, Zuma, and Rocky. Other characters that show up a few times throughout the episode are Mayor Goodway with her pet chicken Chickaletta, and another Mayor, Mayor Humdinger. Their plan is to send each and every one of the cards out to the greatest of friend they have and the ones they barely know. When they finished they brought them to the mailman to send them out to all their friends, but Mayor Humdinger stopped them due to his competitiveness of which city is the friendliest. In the beginning, they pups sing a song of what it is like to be a good friend, one way being to send someone a card for being a good friend. Another thing shows was the saying, “No job is to big! No pup is too small!” this shows kids that nothing should hold you back from what you think you can and cannot do. Lastly, in the end Rocky and Rubble release the best way to celebrate Friendship day is to make a new friend.

Friends can be chosen, but they still have to be brought into a person’s life somehow. However, once they are there, they can make the biggest impact on a child. In this story one character proves that she is above all others the strongest leader, and MVP candidate in the group. A great reason to why Polly deserves the MVP vote is when she intervened, and explained why the sled dogs would be so important. While on the ship, headed for Antarctica, the five kids have a debate on whether to use snow sledges for the entire trip (126), or to bring the sled dogs with them for the trip.Without Polly’s memories, and her knowledge of Scott’s trip, they would’ve been stuck in a blizzard with a broke snow sledge, and no alternate form of transportation (302). This moment proved that Polly knew what she was talking about, she gave explained, that dogs are the most reliable form of polar exploration, and that if this is a reenactment of Scott’s trip, then the sledges will eventually fail, just as Scott’s had, which was a fatal accident (126).Without Polly’s knowledge of polar exploration, and her informing the kids of why this was important , they would’ve been without a reliable…

We learn from this story that it’s okay to be open. It’s important to have friends because it’s always good to have someone to talk to, help, trust, and play with. This story teaches us how we can be nice to others and to go and make friends, also it teaches us not to leave people out. Like Squeaky I sometimes get nervous trying to talk to someone I’ve never met. However I learned to go up to people and be polite and not to be shy around others. It is important in life to learn about this, and that if you live your life not talking to people and not being friendly, you won’t have any fun.
