PAYCHECK The movie I chose to analyze is Paycheck. it is a science fiction movie. Michael played a very important role in the movie. Rachel Porter played as Rachel Porter . Aaron Eckhart played as Rethrick. These three characters were important in the movie . Michael was a brilliant electronic engineer who worked for two companies. One company was Allcom and the other was ARC Company. One fine morning, Michael finished his work and His memory is wiped out. He worked on an illegal project, which caused his memory loss. This movie teaches many lessons to the audience about how money influences people There are many interesting aspects in the movie. Michael thought he built the machine for the wrong purpose so he decided to destroy the machine so that he can save the world. In the Avatar movie, Jake Sully was used as a pawn whereas in Paycheck, Michael was also used as a pawn. Rachel Porter will come and save Michael . They are the heroes and want to destroy the machine to save the world. Once the machine is destroyed Michael and Rachel Porter will be happy and they will start their own nursery and will live happy a life . This is not a realistic ending . The movie manipulates the audience. I will discuss these ideas in this paper. I will be analyzing themes, Comparing Paycheck with avatar and evaluating realistic help interpret paycheck .`
The movie is based on capital and social capital. In Paycheck, people can make money through selling their knowledge. Michael was consulted to do a project with Allcom Company by offering a large amount of money. This movie is an example of how money influences people. Capital plays a huge role in this movie. With the influence of money, Michael has signed the contract. Once the contract is done for three years, his Memory will be wiped out. He couldn’t remember what he had done in the past three years. When the 3 years memory was erased Michael had no idea what he hd done. He couldn’t even imagine

This movie was pretty funny and had some slow moments as well. This movie shows us what it's like to work for a company that starts to have problems within. This movie shows us how people feel working for a company everyday and not enjoying your job. The main character talks about how working at Initech is the worst day of his life and that the next day is worker that the day before. It also shows us what can happen when you push an employee to the end. Initech brings in efficiency experts that hardly know what they are doing besides laying off people and promoting those who don't care about their jobs. The movies main focus is around Initech, but also shows us another company that needs to implement change, Chatskys. At first I thought what am I going to write about from this movie, but there is plenty of things that need change and adjustment from the bottom all the way up in this company.…

One of the theories that is used based on the movie is the role theory. Role theory is refers to the individuals impress upon themselves personal and social expectations related to the myriad roles that they might hold (e.g., employee, parent, caretaker). Each social role is a set of rights, duties, expectations, norms and behaviours that a person has to face and fulfill everyday. In other words, an individual’s life is comprised of various roles across all work and life domains. He got to prove, not only to his dad and family, but to himself. He finally received what he thought the good end of the deal was. I personally loved this movie. I had never seen it before so I enjoyed trying to see the perspective I was looking at. I received a deeper understanding as to why he was so determined and why his values seemed to be so important to him. I noticed that although he was going through so much, he stuck by his own and believed in himself. When I used conflict to observe Fortune, he caught me as the conflict…

For my Capstone Essay, I decided to talk about the topic of whether or not minimum wage should increase. Because this is such a largely debated issue, I thought this would be an interesting topic to learn about. Originally I thought it would be easy to find information because of this. Despite minimum wage being a popular issue, I had a hard time finding any relevant or useful information. While I wanted to use primarily statistical research for my Capstone Essay, this problem influenced me to use the little bit of experience I have had. Even though it seemed like a problem originally, I am happy that the conflict led to practiced used in previous essays.…

Many countries, both developing countries like China and developed countries like United States, in order to ensure workers a minimally adequate standard of living and assist unskilled workers and teenagers, they impose the minimum wage laws, which dictates the lowest price for labor that any employer may pay. Nonetheless, although the starting point of estimating minimum wage laws is good, many economists, such as American economists named Henry Hazlitt, indicate that the minimum wage is the worst method and wrong way to enhance the wage. Why is the minimum wage bad way? As we know, the minimum wage law is used to help the poor, however, it actually hurt them. Owing to the minimum wage laws, plentiful companies have to increase the wage of unskilled workers. Thereby, they will cut down some workers to reduce the cost. Workers, who are fired, are usually unskilled people that the government tries to help. As a result, the unemployment rate raises, and skilled workers have no impact or benefits from the minimum wage laws. Furthermore, in the bulk of developed countries, the minimum wage…

While watching the film there were many moments that struck me as interesting. The first moment that struck me the most was when Jean Reynolds, who is a 51 year old, certified nursing assistant, daughter said she had cancer. That she would not live for long because Jean could not afford to get her daughter treatment. The second moment that struck me was when Barbara Brooks, a 36 year old, single mother said that she was “hustling backwards”. She wants to provide for her children, and is even trying to get further in her education to accomplish this. However every time she advanced there would be something that pulled her back. For example when she got a raise then they took some of her benefits away.…

In order for any change to happen people must first have to start by replacing any political officials that are not supporting the views of its people and the greater good. We have to make sure that people in office that are representing us and advocating the increasing on minimum wage, are fully supported. Politicians like Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton have the right idea when it comes to minimum wage. They want to impose laws so that states and federal government are required to increase the minimum wage whenever the cost of living rises (Johnston 1). There has to be an uprise by women, young workers and other low income individuals by having a peaceful protest to the government that the current minimum wage is not acceptable. Creating a petition and have it sent to a government official that advocates the increase of minimum wage can also aid the cause. A petition will have the same results as a protest but with this method it will allow expansion of the idea to different states and different people allowing more coverage and even more individuals to accept the idea of increasing…

Raising minimum wage is going to make businesses shut down and people lose their jobs. Many people want minimum wage to be raised because they do not believe they get paid enough. The demand to raise New Zealand’s minimum wage has decline. We live in a society where government has to make balance between employers and employees. Workers want better paying job and at the same time employers want to control labour cost. Therefor government put the floor of minimum wage “a minimum wage is the lowest wage that each employee can legally get from an employer” (exclusive papers). This is the lowest amount that a worker can sell his/her labour and that is what we need for better economy right now especially not a price ceiling which is "a set below the market price, then a "shortage" is created; the quantity demanded will exceed the quantity supplied"(week 3w/s).However increasing the minimum wage dose have many consequences on society, people will have better standard of living and encouraging more people to work but at the same time it will affect the employers in increase on their production costs. Therefore the employers has to cut down the staff and it could be hard to find a job for unskilled workers, youth or adults could also face problems in finding the job, which may result as increase in unemployment.…
