Your period reveals a lot of information about your health. If you notice some unusual symptoms, such as pain, irregular flow, or a change of the color of your period, there may be something wrong with your health. Color and Flow of Your Period
The color of your period is in close relation to your hormonal health. Dr. Alisa Vitti, a functional nutritionist and holistic health counselor, states that the period colors can be described in three ways:
Strawberry Jam
If your period is light, resembling a strawberry jam, it may be an indication that your levels of estrogen are low. Low estrogen levels are often responsible for having a delayed period with a light flow. Apart from reduced levels of estrogen, a light flow can occur due to a usage of birth control pills.
Mashed Frozen Blueberries
Periods that are similar both in color and texture to frozen blueberries can indicate that your levels of estrogen are high. Increased estrogen levels usually cause a heavy period flow.
Cranberry Juice
Red color which resembles a cranberry juice means that you have a healthy hormonal balance. Periods of cranberry juice color usually cannot become too heavy, and they will start and end on

    Pain: a Concept Analysis

Pain is a complex and multidimensional phenomenon that is subjective and unique to each individual. Pain is difficult to describe and often hard to measure; however, most healthcare professionals agree that pain is whatever the patient describes it to be. Pain is one of the most frequently used nursing diagnosis and is the most common problem for which patients in the clinical setting seek help (Cheng, Foster, & Huang, 2003). Unrelieved pain can have a profound impact on the lives of both the patient and his or her family members. The subjective nature of pain makes pain difficult to assess; therefore, many patients do not receive adequate relief. The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), has recognized pain as a "major, yet largely avoidable, public health problem" (JCAHO, 1999, para. 1) for which the organization has "developed standards that create new expectations for the assessment and management of pain in accredited hospitals and other health care settings" (JCAHO, 1999, para. 1). These new standards make it essential for healthcare personnel to acquire a better understanding of the concept of pain.…

    Red Poop Research Paper

Red poop usually means there is bleeding. It could mean the intestine is bleeding or there is an anal fissure or split. If there is an appearance of blood in a stool, it could also mean there is a presence of colon cancer. Another, simpler reason of having red poop, which is more common in children, is the consumption of something where there is a high concentration of food colouring. Foods with large amount of food colouring can go through the digestive system unchanged. Babies poop is generally more of a yellow colour, due to their diet consisting only of milk. Green poop can be contributed to a diet rich in leafy greens or an excess of iron. The body won’t be able to absorb the excess iron and it will stain the poop green, which can be masked by the normal brown colour. Under certain conditions the green colour can become apparent, such as the occurrence of a lack of…

    Movie World Symbolism

I would say this film has an overall blueish hue to it. Most of the scenes are dominantly cool colors including most of the costuming. Lina is seen in more cool colors than warm. We see her in blue and green dresses as well as some warmer, pink toned dresses. When it starts to get into the more seriously themed scenes, we see warmer colors start to take over both in the costuming and in the overall hue of the scene. The backgrounds in most scenes are full of more muted colors, and the subject or main focus of the scene is brightly colored. This can be seen when we first see Kathy dancing at the party. Most everything in the background is more dull and muted, but the girls are dressed in bright pink uniforms. We also see the overall tone change when we move into the “movie world.” The colors change to bright, dominant reds, yellows, and oranges with some contrasting cool colors mixed in sparsely. We can also see colors used pretty symbolically during certain parts of the film. A few examples that come to mind happen in the “movie world” Broadway scene. Gene Kelly’s character is dressed in bright yellow to show his optimism and enthusiasm. When we meet the new female character, she is dressed in bright green, maybe to form her into a symbol of lust or greed.…

The official end of the fertile period in a woman’s life is marked by a process called menopause. This process is completely natural and usually occurs when a woman is between 45 and 55 years old, although there are exceptions when women go through menopause when they’re older or younger than that age range. If you are around this age, and you’ve missed your period for one full year (and there is no other cause for not having your period), it is safe to assume that you are going through menopause.…
