I didn’t have to try and be someone I wasn’t, they just understood me, at least I thought that. When I was young, that statement held true, once I got older, things changed, especially with my sister. My sister got into a bad crowd which started to change her, with her change started my change of identity. I began to try and understand her and what she was doing, making me want to know more about her life. I began to identify myself with the bad crowds around the school to grasp a better understanding of the life, it was all a lie. I couldn’t keep up with those people, I wasn’t what they were, I couldn’t do what they were doing, I became an outcast instead, pushed some of my dear friends away in hopes of understanding one person that meant so much to me. He helped mold me into part of the man I am today. We were both interested in the same music, cars, activities and career choices, which helped keep us close. This also helped in my growth as a person, having someone you can confide in and help push you to a specific goal in life is all anyone could ask for, yes, my parents did that, but it always seemed better coming from him. After, all we have been through together he is one that helped set me on my path to my dream job, which I will forever be grateful for. Everyone has their own identities, everyone has a different story to how they got those identities. My story started and continues with my family, they have and will always be there for me, helping me grow and continually molding me into the person I am meant to be. I have met many people along the way that influenced that and every day I will meet people that help change me and make me a better man. I have many identities and will continue to have them, it started as a son, brother, friend and one day, I will have more. All, I hope is that I live to make all those people proud of what they help
