Challenges I Have Overcome
Being alive means facing with challenges, and feeling satisfied when overcoming them. In my life, I faced with many challenges, and I am happy I was able to address them. One of the greatest challenges in my life was to become a student at the American university. In order to achieve this objective, I had to work hard to learn the language, and to adapt to the Western way of life. Although overcoming these challenges was quite stressful, it made me a happy and confident person.

When coming to the United States, I immediately realized the benefits of speaking the societal language. My first days in the country were very stressful. However, I soon understood that speaking English would help me to make new friends and to adapt to the Western way of living, so different from that I had in the East.

I had to spend a lot of time to learn them, but could soon see the positive results. I was pleased with the fact I could enjoy immense freedom and openness to the new culture.
