I fell into a deeper depression because I felt I brought shame to my family’s name- my father and closest sibling stopped talking to me for a while, I was an outcast at my new school, and I was thinking about it as well as the future negatives that I imagined on a daily basis. Instead of letting the failure and the depression bring me down even more, I used it as motivation to redeem myself. The new school served purpose as a fresh start. I got back into the swing of things and made the Honor Roll and received an award for perfect attendance. I was up every night doing homework and studying to make sure I was satisfied with my grades. Redemption also came in early April when I completed Diversion One and had my record
