It was like a slow motion movie. I could only see a speck of the ball in the air. The sun pierced out the clouds and shined brightly into my eyes. I was staring straight at the ball then at the goal, then back at the ball again. The ball decked my forehead and flew back into the air. I was facing the goal, and I hadn't even noticed it. The goalie with a bright neon green jersey dived into the air to block my header. She dived late and completely missed the ball. The ball whipped the net, and I was shocked, but also excited at the same time.
I could hear everyone screaming,”Oh my gosh, yes Salma, you go girl.”
All my teammates came up to me and yelled, “That was a great shot.” They said, “THAT WAS SICK!”
I could hear the parents on the side of the field yelling, “Good job, Salma!”
My coach even said to me, “I’m glad I put you playing on forward.”
I had no words to express what I was feeling. I have made my parents, coach, and teammates proud of me and have made a status for myself. I knew that after this accomplishment I could achieve things I truly desire in life if I am willing to work hard to get
