Children were crying all around, and I was definitely one of them. It’s hard to know that when I was just two years old, this had happened and I had not been able to comprehend half of what was going on. Now, being 17 years old, I am able to comprehend what exactly happened on that terrifying day, and am able to know why it happened. Throughout the years of schooling, we always brush up on the subject of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. People all over the country are discriminated against because of this incident, even still today! We have been taught that raising awareness of this will prevent it from happening again. As they say, “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it,” .On the other hand, is raising awareness really helping? Sure it is, people are now more aware of their surroundings and are able to sense when something bad is about to happen, but that does not mean it will not happen
